Julie Corbett

Julie Corbett, Director carries a Bachelors Degree in Theater and Dance from Queens College.  Miss Julie has been performing since the age of four.  She has performed in and choreographed numerous High School, College and local theater productions.  Her experiences include performing in night clubs as a dancer as well as in music videos.  Ms. Corbett has branched out as a master teacher and choreographer working with dancers from New Jersey, Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio.  She is on staff as a guest judge for several reputable dance competitions.  Her own SYS Dance Company are award winning dancers who have performed locally as well as in Las Vegas and on the Walt Disney World stage in 2000 & 2008!

Melissa Geidel

SYS welcomes back Ms. Melissa to our teaching staff at both locations.  Melissa has a diversified background from dancing with the SYS dance co. to competing nationally for the St. John's University dance team.  While continuing her training, choreography is Ms. Melissa's true passion and is proud to have received "Choreography" awards for some of her company pieces.  Ms. Melissa enjoys working with all ages and all levels and loves the challenge of bringing out the best in each of her students!

Vicki Skinner-Qi

SYS of College Point welcomes a new instuctor, Ms. Vicki.  Vicki Skinner-Qi has danced and taught professionally for over 10 years.  She is an original member of Modern-dance company Shen Wei Dance Arts where she led company class.  Vicki has toured and performed all over the USA and Europe including Kennedy Center, American Dance Festival and Lincoln Center.  She holds a BFA in Dance Performance from SUNY Purchase Dance Conservatory.  Other training includes the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.  She is also a NYS Acupuncturist and TaiChi/Qigong instructor.  Vicki is delighted to be teaching Ballet to the emerging dancers here at Strut Your Stuff.

Ashley Noel

SYS of Plainview welcomes Ms. Ashley Noel to our staff.  Born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, Ashley began her dance training when she was four years old.  At 12, she was accepted to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Professional Division, and studied there for six years until her graduation in 2001.  Ashley made her professional debut with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in "Swan Lake" , and "The Nutcracker" during her time there.  In 2002, Ashley had the honor of performing for Queen Elizabeth II, during Her Majesty's celebration of her Golden Jubilee.  She has performed as a Soloist with The Ontario Ballet Theater in Toronto, Canada, The New Dance Group in New York, Eryc Taylor Dance Co. in New York, Connecticut Ballet, and as a Principal with Willow Oak Contemporary Ballet in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Les Petits Ballet in Otttawa, Canada and most recently with Janusphere Dance Company in New York City.

Jennifer Barnes

Jennifer Barnes recently graduated from the esteemed Purchase Dance Conservatory as a dance major.  This former SYS competitor is proud to return as an instructor so she can share her experiences with the current students.  Miss Jenn has had the great pleasure of working with several nationally acclaimed choreographers and performed recently with the Ellen Sinopoli Dance Company.  Jennifer is currently pursuing a degree in nursing while enjoying her time sharing her talent in dance.   

Ms. Nikki Roth has an extensive background in performance and dance including as an accomplished competitive dancer.

NAI

Nai  has danced and choreographed here and abroad.  This Italian native has continued her studies since she has moved to the US over three years ago.  NAI has numerous credits including Dance2xs, The pulse NYC, artedanza & Dance Educators of America to name a few.
